Fuel demand grows 5.4 per cent in May; petrol, diesel sales surge

India's oil request bobbed back in May, surging 5.4 for every penny on the back of most noteworthy development in petroleum utilization in nine months and the quickest ascent in diesel use since November. 

Fuel utilization in May remained at 17.79 million tons when contrasted with 16.87 million tons around the same time a year back, as per the Oil Ministry's Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell. 

Interest for diesel, which represents around 40 for every penny of aggregate deals, extended 8 for each penny to 7.51 million tons. Petroleum utilization was up 15.3 for every penny at 2.4 million tons, the speediest since August. 

Cooking gas or LPG deals were up 11.6 for every penny to 1.78 million tons while naphtha utilization was down 1.2 for every penny to 1.07 million tons. 

Offers of bitumen, utilized for making streets, fell 6.9 for every penny to 637,000 tons, while fuel oil utilize edged down 2 for every penny to 597,000 tons in May. 

Petcoke utilization was up 5.2 for every penny to 2 million tons. 

Oil request had dove 5.9 for every penny in January, the most in 13 years, after the stun demonetisation of high-esteem cash notes in November. Request fell 3.1 for every penny in February and 0.7 for each penny in March before bouncing back in April.
