UK police arrest woman over alleged torture during Liberia civil war

English police said on Thursday they had captured a lady in London on doubt of torment amid the common war in Liberia over 25 years back.

The 51-year-old was captured in the east of the capital and hunts were being completed at two addresses in east London and focal London, police said in an announcement.

Officers were liaising with Britain's remote service and the arraignment benefit, it included.

"The charges identify with outrages that happened amid the common war in Liberia in the vicinity of 1989 and 1993," police said.

From 1989 to 2003, up to a fourth of a million people in the West African country were executed in a common war, while thousands more were ravaged and assaulted.
